The Jade Book: A Stone of Hope

Port Moody writer Daniela Geracitano Vance chronicles her father Cosimo Geracitano's personal ambition and challenges to carve a book from a single piece of BC jade. The final sculpture, as unique as it is beautiful, features images of Gandhi, Mother Teresa and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and their messages of peace. Ms. Geracitano Vance has developed a public presentation about her father's accomplishment and The Jade Book's message of hope, which can be delivered to school groups.
