Mining in BC Poster

The MREPBC has developed Mining in British Columbia: Industrial Mineral, Metal and Coal Operations in British Columbia, a colour poster (24"x 30") showing the locations of mining operations in BC. Thanks to information provided by the BC Ministry of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources and geological information available from Natural Resources Canada, this resource offers a snapshot of all major industrial mineral, metal and coal producers in the province. Supplementary teaching materials related to industrial minerals operations, their products and unique uses have also been developed to complement the poster (see below). Together they will help build understanding on this economically important, and commonly underappreciated sector in the minerals industry.
