K-3 Integrated Resource Unit: Kids and Rocks
Young children are fascinated with rocks! This teacher-written resource was developed as a thematically-integrated unit in which children explore and learn about rocks and minerals, and use geological themes for lessons in language arts, music, art, social studies, personal planning, math, and drama. It covers a wide range of interrelated topics from earthquakes and volcanoes to mining communities and careers.

The resource includes a 300+ page instructional binder and a wealth of support materials.

The K-3 Integrated Resource Unit: Kids and Rocks is available to teachers and student teachers only through a half-day instructional workshop.

French translations of the student activity sheets in the K-3 binder are available to teachers who attend the workshop.
