Sustainable Resources 11/12 Support
Sustainable Resources 11 and 12 were developed with input from all of BC's primary resources industries and implemented as formal courses in fall 2008. Like the industries themselves, these are multi-disciplinary courses which integrate science, technology, resource management, social issues, economics and careers. Grade 11 is a survey course which explores the many facets of BC's resource industries: agriculture, fisheries, forestry, mining and energy. Grade 12 allows students to investigate in more detail one of these industries. The following MREPBC resource units have been assessed and included on the BC Ministry of Education's list of recommended resources for their value in addressing the mining curriculum in both courses. The instructional binders for each resource are now available to download as PDFs. Please feel free to browse our relevant Resource Unit sections (links posted below).
