Primary: Kids & Rocks

Partner-teachers Ann Brace and Wanda Pickell deliver this engaging, half-day workshop for primary students. Each child is given a super collection of rocks and the tools required to test and make observations. They are guided to handle, sort, test and classify them by observable physical properties, all the while working both on their own and cooperatively with classmates. This is an inquiry-based learning experience that teaches the processes of science and math utilizing a subject children love -- ROCKS!
