The Mineral Resources Education Program of BC (MREPBC) in cooperation with the Coast Mountains School District (SD 82), is presenting informative and hands-on in-service workshops for MREPBC's two teacher-written elementary resource units - K-3 Integrated Resources Unit: Kids and Rocks and Grade 5 Integrated Resource Unit on Mining in Terrace as part of the District Pro-D Teacher Conference on September 24, 2010.

Huckleberry Mines Field Trip - Sept. 25, 2010

It is a great opportunity to see first hand the scope of a modern operation, to gain insight into technological and economic factors that impact a mine, and to get answers to your questions from the people who carry out the work in mining.
